COURSES: 7th GRADE FRENCH AND FRENCH HONORS

 

 

OVERVIEW:

In these courses, students will continue to develop and expand their speaking, writing, reading, and listening skills in French. Through communicative and student-centered activities, students will improve their proficiency in all aspects of language acquisition.  This is a multi-faceted program designed to increase language proficiency. Language skills are taught in context to real-life situations. In addition, culture awareness is enhanced through continued study and reflection of the culture(s) of the French-speaking world.

 

 

COURSE PROFICIENCIES:

These courses follow a thematic approach in which the student will demonstrate his/her ability to communicate in French. The following themes will be the focus:

 

 

For 7th Grade French:

  • Let’s Introduce Ourselves
  • Let’s Meet the Family
  • La Vie Quotidienne (Daily Life)
  • Exploring Other Cultures

 

 

For 7th Grade French Honors:

In addition to the units above, the following themes will be covered:

  • People and Possessions
  • Let’s Visit Our Town
  • What to Wear, When, and Where
